Talk to your Supplier about American Made Goods

by Spend on America Editor on July 11, 2014

It’s not enough to go into a store, look around for American made goods, not find any, and just give up. Yes, it’s true: some retailers aren’t doing their duty to America and carrying American Made Products. That doesn’t excuse us of our duty to do everything we can to Spend on America.

So what can you do? Talk to the owner, of course! Tell them that you care about that “Made in America” stamp. Tell them about the movement! They want your business, and if there’s enough demand for American Made Products then that’s what they’ll carry. If they tell you they can’t source anything from the USA, you can tell them about products you found right here on our website!

Sometimes, unfortunately, you’ll end up having to shop online. We prefer to support local brick and mortar businesses when we can, but we have to do what we have to do in order to stay true to American Manufacturing.

If your local store refuses to carry American Made Goods, don’t be afraid to tell them why you’ll be shopping somewhere else. Maybe they’ll get the message! Maybe they’ll be convinced to Spend on America!
